"Give me friends or give me death". A life without friendship is terrible and lonely. We are social beings and friendship is an incredibly important part of our lives. Appreciating friends is something we must always make time for. In today's competitive world it is easy to get up in our careers or our latest project. It is important to keep a sense of perspective. It is nice to rise high in the company but all the money in the world is not going to keep you company on a cold winter night.
Best Friends means different things to different people. Some insist that you can have only one best friend. Others assert that they have best friends for different aspects of their personalities. Whatever the precise definition, your best friend is the person who gets you. They understand who you are and what you are saying. The greatest distance cannot separate best friends. You will always feel a kinship with them, and be able to instantly continue the friendship even after not talking for many years.
I have my best friend,.i really don't know how we become this close...all i know was that she's always there whenever i need someone to talk to...she knew almost everything about me, she supported me in every decisions i made, she truly cared for me, she comprehends me and my insanity... we share secrets about resentment, happiness, solitude, wrath, absurdity and love....haha...she is a must-have companion in life...how dramatic...
We met when we are in our 1st year in high school...Our mothers somewhat knew each other...we always go home together that time despite the fact that we were from different sections...we were not that close that time...we seldom talk to each other....same during our 2nd year,but we during those times we do talk to each other but not that open...everything changed when we became Juniors..unexpectedly we became close to each other...we were in a same section that time and also we were part of CAT-1...haha...even our officers those times mistook that she is my buddy haha...our friendship grew stronger due to our bonding in COCC times and ofcourse during class hours....everything stayed the same when we became Seniors...but there are times that we had arguments yet we always resolved it...our bonding and friendship beacem much, much stronger this time...we spent our times together...eventhough we do have different businesses in life we were still close...yeah that's what friends are for!!!!! We had enjoyed our Senior life very much..especially those times that we laugh together, cry together and get fussy over silly things....haha i will never forget that i swear..we even used each other as a messenger for those people that we can't have a talk one-on-one haha....eventhough we already graduated in our high school we still continue our bonding moments...now i think we are going almost more than 2 years of friendship...haha...
When I’m Lonely your there for me, and when I’m Hurt you care for me, when I’m lost in this world of great unknowns you help me find my way out, you'd never leave me standing on a corner in the rain, you pick up the pieces when I’m going completely insane, there are times when no one should be able to understand me but you always do, My mind explodes I tell you everything I could never be untrue, I cant picture my life with you not there, and whenever I feel like no one cares, you come to my rescue and set my mind free, and I know I’m so lucky to be the best friend of you.
Here's a poem I dedicate for you Bes...
I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain,
nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.
I can't keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.
Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine;
Yet I can share in your laughter.
Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you,
and help you when you ask.
I can't prevent you from falling away from friendship,
from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you.
I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
But I can give you the room to change, room to grow,
room to be yourself.
I can't keep your heart from breaking and hurting,
But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces
and put them back in place.
I can't tell you who you are.
But I can always be your "bes"...
